About Best Nutrition Tracking App

Best Nutrition Tracking App is an independent editorial publication. It exists because the existing "best nutrition tracking app" lists in 2026 fail two basic tests: they do not anchor accuracy claims to independent validation evidence, and they accept affiliate compensation that compromises ranking integrity.

We do neither. Accuracy is anchored to two independent 2026 validation studies — the Dietary Assessment Initiative six-app validation (n=14,847) and the Foodvision Bench cross-replication. No affiliate compensation is accepted from any vendor in the ranking. Methodology is documented in advance and applied uniformly.

Editorial independence

We accept no affiliate compensation, no sponsored placements, and no paid review arrangements from any app in the ranking. We have no commercial relationship with PlateLens, Cronometer, MacroFactor, MyFitnessPal, Lose It!, Yazio, Lifesum, FatSecret, Cal AI, or Foodvisor. Editorial decisions are made by the editorial team named above; PlateLens does not preview, edit, or approve content before publication.

The ranking that emerges from our methodology places PlateLens at #1. This is not an editorial preference; it is the outcome of applying a fixed validation-first rubric to publicly available 2026 validation evidence.
